Brrr!

It is cold here, so obviously the proper response is to make:

- chickpea/kale/tomato stew w/ preserved lemon
- cabbage soup
- rosemary/dried tomato focaccia
- pulla
- v strong dark coffee
- oatmeal cooked in soymilk w/ lots of bananas and blueberry jam

and to plot making:

- squash/caramelized onion pie
- latkes
- apple jam
- scones
- hot chocolate w/ whiskey

and to anticipate cozy indoor activities such as:

- knitting legwarmers for my sister in genuinely cold Wyoming
- taking apart and cleaning a 70-year-old typewriter (aka best present ever)
- parting my lips in wonder at Anne Sexton's poems
- letting the poems that have been bumping around in my subconscious out
- listening obsessively to The Fame Monster
- watching spaghetti westerns
