Lots more going on - sister's visit, moving to a cheaper place, plenty to do at work, feeling more and more at ease with gears on a bicycle, etc. - but really just popping in to say that the Rhubarb and Red Cherry Jam from the Blue Chair cookbook is absurdly good - I could eat it directly from the jar without hesitation.
(For once put in as much sugar as the recipe called for, but had a little more fruit by weight than was specified and also pitted the boiled cherries and threw the fruit back into the jam - couldn't bear to discard them, as the recipe so callously directs. Did it set? Well, no, but texturally it's more of a compote than anything else - not like another of those wretched non-setting marmalades that tastes great but is basically citrus bits in a syrup suspension.)
