Well, enough w/ the dull, cryptic soul-searching

Here's Mr. Okra!  There are a few people that sell produce out of the back of vans/trucks around the city - some of it is from nearby farms, some of it is somehow acquired from wholesalers.  I've seen Mr. Okra in my neighbourhood a couple of times and he kindly allowed me to take photos of his truck (and buy a cabbage and some lemons.)
