ARGH/Lesson learned, I suppose

Giving a gratingly socially inept and shockingly self-centred person a piece of information ENSURES that she will immediately proceed to use it in a way that she imagines will make herself look interesting, but which in fact will only reflect badly on you, no matter how innocently you shared with her.

(Perhaps being hateful but by no means inaccurate here will prevent me from shrieking in real life in a harpy-like fashtion? Let us hope.)

(Also, yes yes, blah blah I ought to have compassion for her - and I do try - but often it is hard and sometimes, I totally fail.)
