I spent nearly a week in Sacramento with my parents and grandparents. I slept through the night. I made crisp and clafoutis. I drank double IPAs. I ate grilled corn and bison. I read a lot (old friends and new.) I went on a couple of lovely morning walks with my mother. I ordered medium spicy Thai food and it was so spicy my gums hummed. I felt aghast at the lack of sidewalks. It was wonderful.
Now I am back in New Orleans, and things are pretty good, but I need to take some time sometime soon to write and think. But that probably won't happen today, so instead I will focus on how very delicious red quinoa/tomato/cucumber/feta/mesclun salad with lemon juice/olive oil/garlic/salt/pepper vinaigrette is.
