For a discouraging day, I can recommend nothing better than a yoga class, a cold glass of blended cantaloupe and basil and lime juice, and a totally absurdly not health-conscious pizza with pesto, salami, feta, AND manchego (well, and some arugula and cherry tomatoes, but they were not the point.)
My father once said something I try to remember: that it's easy enough to be cheerful and productive when things are going well - it's keeping your temper and doing your best during times of adversity that take actual character. So, onwards.
(n.b. for once I am not talking about my feelings - I'm job searching, and I remember now how much I hate this whole bloody process.)
