- I have been thinking a lot recently about character and honour. (Hi, I'm from the 19th century. How you doin'?) Specifically, about maintaining politeness, energy, and good humour even when circumstances are tough. It's not something I'm particularly good at.
- Did you know that different apple varieties cook differently? I made applesauce with Granny Smiths and a random Braeburn, which was still whole when the GS had totally disintegrated.
