Side note

I really freaking like this canning business. Taking fresh local awesomeness and turning it into something I can enjoy later/take pride in giving to loved ones = just wonderful. And it's a way to be playful/creative, too - I am happily anticipating apple season, b/c I think apple butter flavoured with rosewater (and maybe some pepper?) will be fantastic.
