These paintings are by a local artist named Thierno Diallo. I had seen some of his work at a couple of exhibitions and then a friend took me to his atelier, and I fell in love with these. I decided to put them up at work rather than in my apartment b/c a) guess where I spend more time b) my apartment is by no means insecure, but work is more secure.
I love them. I have coherent reason for doing so, and I dread getting them back to the States, but they make me happy and I know they will continue to make me happy in all of the houses to come.
